Get Involved: Santacruzan at Mayfest 2024 Needs You
Greetings Southern Californians!
We are excited to announce that Mayfest 2024 will be including the celebration of Santacruzan!! This beautiful festival is celebrated yearly in the Philippines. Mayfest will celebrate Flores de Mayo by hosting a Santacruzan that will feature Reinas and important characters for the festival. But to make this happen, we need your help!
We're Calling for Volunteers!
If you are passionate about community events and cultural celebrations we are inviting you to join as a volunteer for Santacruzan at Mayfest 2024. Mayfest will happen in May 19, 2024 at Carson Community Center and will feature exciting programs that will make it memorable for everyone.
As a volunteer you will play an important role in executing and organizing various aspects of the event. Here are some of the important things volunteers will do during the event.
Help plan the Santacruzan parade.
Assist in creating the props needed by the Reynas (Queens) for the parade.
Help in decorating and organizing the venue of the event.
Coordinate the participants and ensure program will run smoothly.
Help in the fundraising program.
Manage event logistics.
Anyone with a passion for cultural events and a willingness to contribute their time and energy is welcome. You don't need prior experience in event organizing – just a positive attitude and a readiness to learn and work in a team.
