ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

◆ Open to all caregivers.

◆ Must have been actively providing care within Southern California for at least one year before the nomination.

NOMINATION CRITERIA

◆ Demonstrates exceptional compassion and empathy in their caregiving role

◆ Evidence of significant positive impact on the lives of those they care for, including testimonials from care recipients, family members, or colleagues.

◆ Shows a sustained commitment to caregiving, going above and beyond the usual expectations of their role.

◆ Utilizes innovative approaches or techniques to improve the quality of care.

◆ Acts as an advocate for the needs and rights of care recipients.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

◆ Must be a registered care agency that provides services to care facilities or directly to the elderly, sick, or homeless in Southern California.

◆ Must have been in operation for at least two years before the nomination.

◆ Must have a good standing in the community with no major legal disputes or ethical violations in the past two years.

NOMINATION CRITERIA

◆ Demonstrates a clear and inspiring vision for improving care and the well-being of clients.

◆ Offers robust training and professional development opportunities for employees to advance their skills.

◆ Actively involved in community initiatives and contributes to the broader care community through partnerships, training, or public education.

◆ Maintains full compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

◆ Must be a licensed care facility for the elderly, sick, or homeless located within Southern California, excluding facilities for adults and mentally ill.

◆ Must have been operational for at least two years before the nomination.

◆ Must have no citations or regulatory violations in the past two years.

NOMINATION CRITERIA

◆ Staff Qualifications and Retention: Employs qualified staff with specialized training relevant to the care provided.

◆ Continuous Improvement: Evidence of ongoing efforts to improve care and operations, such as engaging in research or upgrading facilities.

◆ Provides a clean, safe, and homely living environment that promotes residents' dignity, independence, and happiness.

◆ Full compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations governing care facilities.
